WWF Penguin Puzzle
A stunning 500 piece puzzle featuring a small colony of beautiful Penguins in their natural Antarctica habitat. There are 17 species of penguins, all of which are found in the Southern Hemisphere with most living on the coasts of Antarctica and Sub-Antarctic Islands. After campaigning by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and others, the South African government has created a new protected area, roughly nine times the size of Wales, covering Prince Edward and Marion Island (2,000km south of South Africa). This has provided a safe breeding ground for over one million penguins including King and Gentoo penguins and the vulnerable Rockhopper and Macaroni species featured in the puzzle. The WWF also supports researchers in the Antarctic to microchip Adélie penguins allowing them to monitor the length of time individual penguins spend at sea and their weight. This jigsaw is a must-have for any puzzle and wildlife lover and makes for a rewarding and challenging experience. The puzzle is made from high quality card and comes presented in a rectangular box which has been shrink wrapped for further protection. The completed puzzle measures 490 x 335mm.
