WWF Elephant Puzzle
A beautiful 500 piece puzzle featuring a family herd of the vulnerable African Elephants. This intelligent and powerful animal is the world’s biggest land mammal with adult males weighing as much as 5 small family cars. Over 90% of the African elephant population was lost in the century leading up to 1975 - largely due to the ivory trade. Poaching elephants for their tusks is still the main threat to them - even though this trade is now illegal. The African Elephant range has declined by over 50% since 1979 and there are now only around 600,000 African elephants in the wild. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is working to help protect elephants in 20 landscapes across Africa and to crack down on the illegal ivory trade. This jigsaw features two young elephant calves with their parents is a must-have for any puzzle and wildlife lover and makes for a rewarding and challenging experience. The puzzle is made from high quality card and comes presented in a rectangular box which has been shrink wrapped for further protection. The completed puzzle measures 490 x 335mm.
